O. Anthony Ogundipe, MD is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with subspecialty certification by The American Board of Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He completed high school at the age of 15 and entered the
University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Via an accelerated undergraduate program, he graduated cum laude with a B. S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

After graduating as the highest ranked student at Howard University College of Medicine (class of 1987), he entered the OB/GYN Residency Program at Harbor – UCLA Medical Center (Torrance, CA) where he served as the Chief Administrative Resident in 1990/91. He then transitioned into the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program both at Harbor – UCLA and Cedars Sinai
Medical Center (Beverly Hills, CA).

During his Fellowship, he performed both clinical and animal research resulting in authorship in several peer review journals, and in scholarly presentations both nationally and internationally. After the Fellowship Training, he accepted a full time teaching appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor, UCLA, and served as undergraduate & amp; post graduate instructor/attending physician at The King Drew Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA).

He later served at the facility as Associate Residency Program Director and Chief, Division of Obstetrics. Dr. Ogundipe later transitioned into full time private practice and has served the local community for approximately 25 years as a Consulting Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist. At St. Francis Medical Center (Lynwood, CA), he held various leadership positions including the office of the Chief of Staff (2009 through 2010).

He currently serves in the capacity of Medico – Administrative Director of the Family Life Center. In 2001, Dr. Ogundipe was awarded the Vincentian Spirit award, the highest honor recognition for a physician member of The St Francis Medical Staff. He was recognized in 2013 by The University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point as the recipient of The Distinguished Alumnus of the College of Letters and Science. This physician has dedicated his entire career to providing ethical & compassionate care to the underserved population of South Central & South East Los Angeles. Without regards to a patient’s ability to pay, he has in no small measure assured that high end, high-risk obstetrical care is available and accessible to all.

Beyond his efforts in his immediate areas of practice, Dr. Ogundipe has participated in several voluntary medical missions to Africa. Through his work, he has proven to be a compassionate physician and a humanitarian.
